Latest Green Valley Council News

Southwest Gas Concern: A few Viewpoint homeowners have recently been contacted by a person who says he is a contractor for Southwest Gas and that the homeowner should have their gas line replaced from the road to the house, at no cost to the homeowner.  Southweat Gas confirms they do send out contractors on a periodic basis to have new gas lines installed, and the 2 contractors they are currently using are "Arizona Pipeline and Northern Pipeline".

If you are contacted by an individual asking to replace your gas line, and if you are in doubt, please contact Southwest Gas to verify.

Weeds and Firewise Designation:We hope your summer has been enjoyable and look forward to greeting our winter residents as they return for the season.

You may recall receiving a notice that we sent out in July regarding yard maintenance. Unfortunately, there are still a significant number of yards with overgrown weeds and shrubs.

Please, be good a neighbor and make certain that your yard is properly maintained at all times. Poor yard maintenance adversely effects property values throughout Viewpoint. We must all do our part to make Viewpoint the best it can be.

We mentioned the Firewise designation in the July notice as well. We are still awaiting date confirmation from Arizona Fire and Forestry for our initial assessment, but believe they will schedule us fairly soon. We will, of course, notify everyone one we have a date certain.

Sending very best wishes...

Take Care!! The (Rattle) Snakes are still out. Andy Grover just corralled this one next to the Clubhouse and arranged for the Fire Department to relocate it out into the West Desert. Take special precautions especially when reaching under plants while gardening.
